Muzz Buzz opens 50th drive thru store!
Australia’s largest and fastest growing drive-thru coffee franchise Muzz Buzz is pleased to announce the opening of its 50th Australian franchise store in Corio, Victoria. Muzz Buzz has been an innovator in the Australian drive thru market, recently introducing a new retail concept in Western Australia with its expansion into Muzz Buzz Car Washing.
Muzz Buzz executive chairman Warren Reynolds said, “We are thrilled to have a reached 50 stores, which we see as a major milestone in the growth of our brand. I’m pleased to say we’ve been able to provide employment and training opportunities for thousands of employees since we started back in 2004. Muzz Buzz and our franchisees support a range of community organisations and continue to make a valuable contribution to local communities throughout Australia and New Zealand.”
The company has a proven business model and a successful growth strategy that includes plans to expand its products and drive-thru services internationally, into Eastern Europe and Asia, and continued growth in New Zealand where there are currently two Muzz Buzz franchises in operation and another store in development.
“Muzz Buzz drive-thru coffee has reached critical mass in the Australian market, and as we continue to ex-pand our drive-thru portfolio into new consumer markets, our goal is to open 100 drive-thru coffee franchises internationally by 2015.
Spending on coffee and convenience food products has continued to grow in both Australia and New Zealand and across most of Asia in the past 5 years, and these trends appear likely to continue for the fore-seeable future.
According to the BIS Shrapnel’s Coffee & Beverages in Australia report, Australian consumers spent in ex-cess of $10.7 billion a year on coffee, which represents an average of $594 for every Australian aged 14 and over.
